Meet Jenny - Founder
My name is Jenilva (Jenny) Coffi-Alberto, a passionate writer from Curaçao with a love for storytelling and inspiring young readers. As the eldest of five daughters and a proud mother of two, I’ve learned the power of resilience, creativity, and faith. Since 2000, I’ve written reflections, children’s stories, and published several books, including Keanu’s Joy (2018), Better Late Than Never (2022) and The Mysterious Bench (2024).
Meet Monique - Creator
As Director of CITI, I am proud to support Safeplace4me because it reflects what we stand for: using innovation to strengthen the wellbeing of our community. With our focus on digital inclusion and meaningful technology, I see this platform as a powerful example of how digital tools can make support more accessible, reduce stigma, and empower young people to take their first steps toward better mental health.
The dedication and vision of the Safeplace4me team made this platform a safe and welcoming space for youth who are looking for guidance and clarity. We are proud to contribute our technical and strategic support, and we remain committed to helping Safeplace4me grow into a trusted resource for Curaçao’s young generation.
Meet Lisa - Content manager
Hi, I’m Lisa Koppes. I’m 25 years old and I studied Applied Psychology in Leiden. During my studies I focused mainly on young people and how to train and coach them to grow into the best version of themselves. I worked on themes like stress, (sexual) boundaries, drugs, anxiety and more.
During my internship and thesis at different high schools in Curaçao, I saw how much young people can grow when they feel seen, heard and supported. I’ve also been through my own rough period with mental health. Because of that, I’m not only a applied psychologist, but also an ervaringsdeskundige: someone with lived experience who really understands how hard it can be.
I hope we can make mental health a more normal topic to talk about and create a space where getting help feels easy and accessible. Being part of SafePlace4.me is truly a dream for me: a chance to make a real difference for our youth.

Nos boluntario nan
Tittel Del Mar
Hey there! I’m Tittel Del Mar, an artist and storyteller from Curaçao, and also a proud neurodivergent adult. My work explores identity, healing, growth, and the messy yet beautiful reality of being. Through writing, film, performance, and other media, I transform lived experiences into connections and, often, community.
I volunteer at SafePlace4Me because understanding my neurodivergency has transformed my life. I know what it feels like to finally be able to make sense of yourself, and, especially, to feel safe. As someone diagnosed later in life with autism (in addition to having ADHD and dyslexia), I want young people to know they’re not “wrong” or “broken”. They deserve support, language, and compassion; the things I didn’t have growing up.
If my stories or experience can help even one person feel seen, understood, or simply curious about their own mind, then it’s worth it. We’re wired differently, and that can and will become your strength, not your weakness!

Remyson Caldera
I’m Remyson Caldera. I am an educator who loves being in nature. My goal is to teach every child/teenager the importance of being in nature and appreciate the small things nature gives us.
The reason I want to volunteer is because I’ve struggled with mental health issues in the past and I know how important it is to have a place where you can feel safe, where nobody is judging you. I think SafePlace4me is a very nice initiative to let the youth know they’re not alone.
