Stichting The Hangout was created from the desire to offer young people in Curaçao a place where they can grow, explore, and be themselves. In a world where performance pressure and social expectations continue to increase, The Hangout aims to create space for freedom, expression, and connection.   Our foundation focuses on promoting the creative, musical, and athletic development of young people — not only as a source of enjoyment, but also as the foundation for long-term mental and physical well-being. Young people are encouraged to discover their talents, collaborate, and turn their creativity into something tangible. Whether it involves making art, music, or sustainable products, we want to show that creativity can also be a form of entrepreneurship. At The Hangout, everything revolves around connection and individuality. We provide a safe place where young people feel heard and seen, where they can express themselves without judgment, and where they are part of a community that inspires and supports them.   The Hangout's space is not only a creative hub but also an open meeting place: a spot to chill, learn, create, and build something meaningful together. Musicians can use our music room to develop their talent, while artists, clubs, and other local initiatives can rent our space for their activities. We do not offer treatments, but we are a space where young people can express themselves artistically and musically. Young people find a “home away from home” with us, where they can meet and inspire each other.

People can contact us directly or simply drop by on the days we are open. Everyone is welcome to walk in.

The donation fee is XCG 5 for the entire afternoon or evening. Our spaces can also be rented by third parties — for example, as an exhibition space or for musicians who want to rehearse. Contact us for more information.
